Chocolate Coconut No-Bake Bites

Ready in 15 minutes

Serves 7 people

  • 207 calories
  • 5 g protein
  • 24 g carbohydrates
  • 10 g fat  


  • 1 cup medjool dates (pitted)
  • ½ cup raw walnuts
  • ½ cup raw almonds
  • ¼ cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • ¼ cup unsweetened dark cocoa powder


  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp water


  1. Add all ingredients to a food processor
  2. Process until well combined, somewhat thick, and chunky
  3. Take mixture and roll into tablespoon-sized balls and place in the fridge (should make 14)
  4. Let sit until firm and enjoy

Sometimes, we all need to satisfy that sweet craving. I know that I suffer from this ALL the time. This holiday season, I started asking myself how I could try to stick to my diet. I know that I typically enjoy eating according to a Paleolithic lifestyle, so I decided to check out some ideas on Pinterest. Of course, I found an endless supply of them, thus, I set out to try one!

Normally, chocolate is my weakness. Dark chocolate specifically. Because of that, this recipe really caught my eye. The only thing I didn’t like about this recipe was that it had some higher carbs, but that’s okay. I don’t expect myself to stay in ketosis forever. You can’t expect to always be perfect.

Therefore, I went for this delicious recipe anyways. I also knew that if I used the best raw ingredients I could find, I could maybe convince my family members to like them too! And if they did, that would mean they would help me eat them (so that I don’t binge super hard) as well as be open to creating some other Paleo baked goods more often! At least I hope so!

But this recipe really helps curb some cravings. You get some raw delicious sweetness packed in a tight little ball just ready to blast your tastebuds with some rich cocoa and nutty sensations! The dates bring out a satisfying sweetness that pairs so well with the various nuts in the recipe to blend beautifully with the taste of the cocoa. Not to mention, it went very well with some Four Sigmatic Hot Cocoa mix which I use to wind down after tough and active days!

Overall, these no-bake balls can help you get through the holidays guilt-free with no side effects. They are just as tasty, if not more, than anything else you normally bake, I guarantee it!
